    Congressman Lee Zeldin

Tuesday, March 8, 2016 – Retired Brigadier General Don Bacon, candidate for the United States Congress, announced today that he has received the endorsement of Congressman Lee Zeldin of New York in his bid to represent Nebraska in the Second District. The Congressman released the following statement:

“I wholeheartedly endorse retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Don Bacon for election to the Second Congressional District of Nebraska”, said Congressman Zeldin.  “General Bacon’s proven, decorated service to our nation is an unmistakable testament to his ability, leadership, and integrity.  His command at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and overseas gives General Bacon a thorough understanding of the importance of our national defense.  I am confident that with his conservative values he will be a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and will be the type of leader we need in Washington.  I am proud to support General Bacon and look forward to his continued service to our nation.”

“I thank Congressman Zeldin for his endorsement and interest in ensuring we have more leadership and veteran experience in Congress, and less career politicians”, said Bacon. “I respect him for his service to this nation, both as a Soldier and as a Congressman, and I look forward to working with him to keep our national security strong, to develop a sound strategy to defeat ISIS, and to fix the Veterans Administration.”
